Rain Essay

Although light and heavy rain fell and sound different, I would much rather be in a heavy pounding downpour.

Light and heavy rain are very different. First, heavy rain is loud while soft rain is quiet. Next, heavy rain hurts, and soft rain tickles. Also heavy rain is normally part of a thunderstorm, but soft rain isn't.

My favorite type of rain is a hard, pounding downpour. If it's in a thunderstorm, I like to count in between the lightning and thunder to tell how far away the storm is. It's also cool to watch the dark rainclouds roll in. When it's done raining, I like to look for rainbows.

My least favorite type of rain is a soft sprinkling mist. I hate it when my hair sticks up because it's so humid! It's also so boring. Even when it's over your still stuck inside since it's muddy.

Those are some differences between light and heavy rain, and why I like a heavy, pounding downpour better than a light soft sprinkle.
